![]() ![]() You look to have a lot of foliage around your house, which will most likely give your home a little bit darker appearance, so going too dark, along with the dark awnings, and lighter roof, may give it a "bottom heavy" appearance. Picking too light of a grey ( like #1 or #2) will give a washed out appearance like this cute little bungalow: Ģ. Your roof looks to be a lighter color grey. These are my humble little thoughts regarding the color choices:ġ. It doesn't sound like you can have your husband dangle samples from the second story window, but if you can wait, I'd highly suggest you do that, because, as you know, paint colors looks so incredibly different in different lighting, even on the same surface different times of the day! It's such a BIG decision and you don't want to get it so close to amazing but amazing, the first go around! Oh, I have felt your pain! When we painted a house we built 17 years ago, yellow with a grey roof and white trim (loved that house and we had to sell it after 2 years), my sweet husband dangled from the second story gable window, changing from one large sample to the other, as I was standing across the street tilting my head from left to right and graciously yelling, " OK, honey switch it out with the third sample." :) I KNOW my neighbors thought I was crazy, BUT we got it right on the first painting! (nonetheless, I still think the winner is number two, lol!) Now, having said all of that.looking at photos isn't giving us the nuances that you're seeing with the naked eye. If I ad to choose between those two then I'd go with number two as it's a cleaner and crisper grey. I think those factors would cause number one to have a sickly cast and would intensify the cobalt and Barney in five and six and cause number four to appear darker and maybe stern? That leaves two and three both of which I think would work well with roof, vegetation, brick and ironwork. It looks to have a lot of green as in trees and bushes around the house. The roof shingles appear to have a greeish undertone and the house appears to receive a lot of shade from a tree/trees. Number six has purple undertones (think Barney) and reads more as a greyed purple. Number five has brighter blue undertones (think cobalt blue) and reads as more of a greyed blue to me. Number four has blue undertones ( think navy blue) and reads as a deep grey. Neither appear to have blue, yellow, green or purple undertones. Numbers two and three read as a true grey with three being ever so slightly darker. ![]() Ready? Number one reads beige, greige, khaki with a green undertone. Lol! You asked for big opinions and you got a bunch, now didn't ya? So I guess I'll add my BIG opinion to the mix. ![]()
